As an opener,..Here are some common fallacies & misconceptions I found on a "witches" website that I felt I just had to share. Please let me take this opportunity to state that not all systems of magick or religions follow the same rules when it comes to spellcasting. See? You've learned something new already!::grin:::

.....and since were speaking of misconceptions & fallacies...please let me take this opportunitiy to tell you that there are some rather simple-minded people out there that like to assume I am claiming these spells as my own. I do not even note on these spells which one's are actually *mine* but rather only place notice when they are from a genuine copyrighted source such as published books. Most are simply spells found on the internet, websites and newsgroups etc. Some have also been modified somewhat to fit what I feel are more workable spells for beginners & novices. I am not seeking recognition for these spells but simply happy to be providing a service to those that need a source for various rituals that may be difficult to find elsewhere. No ads, no self-promotion, no posteuring, no ego-stroking.(-_-)

So enjoy ...starting with these somewhat humorous observations on spells in general...AND REMEMBER..THESE ARE TO BE TAKEN AS JOKES, NOT SERIOUSLY UNLESS YOU ARE ACTUALLY HUNG UP ON THIS TYPE OF NONSENSE.

*Spells are personal, they should be written by the person using them and only by them. That is where the power lies. (Many of us know that this is not the case at all.....but I digress & really don’t feel much like getting into a long drawn out debate right now...)

*If you aren't willing to put forth the effort to create your own, you shouldn't be doing spells in the first place.

*If you do take a spell from someone else and use it,you are setting yourself up to share in their Karma for that spell. You may have good intentions but the person who wrote it did it for the wrong reasons, do you want your spell to carry on this Karma? (As if Karma was interchangable or something...)

*If you give a person one of your spells you, likewise, are setting yourself up to share in the Karma that comes from their use of the spell. If you write a spell for a good reason and someone uses it for a not so pure reason do you really want to pay dues for that persons actions? (If it is used for a different reason,chances are it is now a different spell...duh!)

Anyhew.....Enough with the yuks & yokels.....on with the spells!
