Low John The Conqueror Root (Galangal)

Galangal, also known as Low John The Conqueror Root , Little John and/or Chewing John, has many uses with court success and reversing a hex being the most common. Below are a few of the more widely known uses for this famous root:

Used for hex or curse removal, you chew on a piece of the root and then spit it out on the ground to send the evil back to the sender. Root shavings can also be burned as an incense for the same results.

Can also be burned to bring about a favorable court decision. Burn some of the root each night for 14 nights before a court case. Place the ashes in a blue flannel bag and take to court with you. Some sprinkle the ashes near the judge's bench or around the courthouse prior to the trial for added "oomph". If one so desires, you can instead soak the root in sugar water and carry in your pocket or a mojo bag for success in court. The "sugaring" is thought to "sweeten" the judge and jury towards you.

For wish granting, chew on the root while concentrating on your desire, then spit it out. This is especially good to bring one money, besides offering protection from a hex or jinx. The root can also be wrapped in a bill to bring money in as well, much like it's big brother, High John.

Lastly, it is said that one can also carry the root in their pocket to help a job hunt be more succesful.
